The Cathedral’s treasured music program has been made possible by the generosity of many people over more than a century.  You can help us in a variety of ways:

Friends of Cathedral Music program. 

This outstanding program has raised funds that have contributed to expenses such as organ extensions and repairs, choir tours, robes, scholarships, the Cathedral College and sheet music.  Donations are tax-deductable, and 100% of funds go to the ongoing music ministry of the Cathedral.  For more information click here.  (Link to Friends of Cathedral Music page.)

Commission a new work

Christ Church Cathedral has a long and proud history of performing new music, and offering finance to commission a new work is a great way to make a lasting contribution to the music life of the Cathedral and the wider church.  For more information please click here (Link to Commission a New Work page).

Join the team as a volunteer

The music team of the Cathedral is a vibrant community of people of all ages who mix music-making with social activities.  We are always in need of volunteers to help in a variety of ways, from librarianship to repairing robes, from sending emails to assisting the young choristers of the St Nicholas Choir.  To join the team please speak to our staff after a service or contact the Director of Music: [email protected]
