Brilliant violinist Madeleine Easton (Director of Bach Akademie, Australia) joins us as the Camerata closes the Newcastle Music Festival with the brilliance and colour of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. Vivaldi shares the bill with two contrasting works – Strauss’s effervescent Blue Danube and Something From Nothing, an evocative work of the Australian composer Natalie Nicolas.

Mozart’s final work is beloved for its musical brilliance and the intrigue surrounding its composition. Left unfinished at Mozart’s death, various composers have constructed completions of the Requiem, and this will be the premiere of the completion by the Cathedral’s Director of Music, David Banney.
